If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14
This promise was given to the Children of Israel at the time of the building of the Temple.
And these were the promises God gave, through Jeremiah, to the people of Israel during the days of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee,
and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me,
and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me,
when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
And I will be found of you, saith the LORD.
Consequences for disobeying:
It happened to Israel. It can happen to America!
But ye turned and polluted my name,
Ye have not hearkened unto me… behold, I proclaim … saith the LORD, the sword, pestilence, and famine; and I will make you to be removed…
I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.
I will give them into the hand of their enemies,
and into the hand of them that seek their life.

Thought for Today:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
And he shall direct thy paths.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your hearts before him:
God is a refuge for us…Amen!
